REV Cedric meekins

With over 30 years of musical  experience, Rev Meekins brings a level of energy that the Ensemble can relate to, being an organization of 30 years itself.  Cedric is currently serving as the minister of music at Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church of Charlotte.  He is also the Assistant Dean (elect)Continuing Education Artelia Hutchinson Training Institute.  Haling from the state of Virgina, he traveled internationally during his military obligation, but managed to complete his Bachelors Degree in Music Education and a Masters Degree in Music Composition & Theory.  Continuing his thirst for excellence, he is currently working on a second Masters which will be in Music Education.  Cedric is a song writer, recorder, and producer having over 40 originals copywritten.  He has enjoyed many directorship opportunities, including the Broadway production of The Preachers Kid as musical director.  His extensive instrumental skills allow him to appreciate and incorporate variety in sounds in stage productions.  We look forward to an exciting season with Rev Meekins as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
