DaVaughn L. Miller...

Along with serving as the Director of the Charlotte Contemporary Ensemble, Mr. Miller is the Director of Choral Activities in the Department of Music at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He conducts the Concert Choir and the College Octet Ensemble and teaches Music History, Afro-American Music History and Music Literature.

A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Ethnomusicology from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education and a Masters of Music Degree in Choral Conducting from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.

Currently, Mr. Miller is a doctoral student at Columbia University, Teachers College in New York, NY, where he is completing the Educational Doctorate in Collegiate Teaching with an emphasis on Music and Music Education.
